This East Africa accommodated safari is a small group safari where you will spend all of Arusha and includes all of the major highlights in Tanzania and Kenya.

Included in the price of this East African accommodated safari: 13 nights in lodges / permanent tented camps with en-suite bathrooms, all transport in fully kitted out 4x4 safari vehicle, game drives as mentioned, meals (some of which will be prepared by the guide at the campsites) and activities as mentioned in itinerary, accommodation and park entrance fees, experienced local guide.

Days 1: Arusha    
You will be collected from the airport and transferred to your lodge on the outskirts of Arusha. The rest of the day is at leisure to rest and prepare for your safari.
Over dinner we will have a pre-departure meeting. [D]

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park - Manyara            
After breakfast you will get picked up from your hotel in Arusha for the start of the safari of your lifetime! We visit the Arusha Market for some last minute preparation before we set off towards Tarangire National Park.
After lunch and an afternoon game drive in Tarangire we head towards Lake Manyara and our overnight stop. [BLD]

Day 3: Manyara National Park  
After breakfast we leave for a full day game drive in the Manyara National Park. This spectacular national park is located at the northwestern corner of a shallow soda lake that it is named after, at the foot of the Great Rift Valleys western escarpment. Manyara is not only known for its large flocks of flamingos but also for the elusive tree climbing lions. [BLD]

Day 4: Manyara – Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park
We have an early departure for a game drive in the world renowned Ngorongoro Crater. For many this wildlife spectacle is the pinnacle of safari experiences. The Crater boasts all of the ‘Big 5’, including a small population of black rhino.
After lunch we head towards the Serengeti through the stunning Southern Plains. This is the area the Serengeti is best known for – endless grass savannah with rocky outcrops that serve as isolated wildlife refuges.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park (Seronera)
You spend a full day of game driving around the Seronera area of the Serengeti. The life blood of the Serengeti in the dry season this area is well known for year round sightings of all the game species and is especially popular for the elusive leopard.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park (Ikoma)
We move further north towards Ikoma to explore a different part of the Serengeti. With more vegetation and permanent water this area of the Serengeti is renowned for its resident wildlife population. We have lunch at our camp and settle in before we do a night game drive in the Ikoma Wildlife Management Area.

Day 7: Serengeti (Ikoma)
This morning we do a walking safari accompanied by a ranger in order to experience the bush from a different perspective.
We have lunch back at the lodge and the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the view and relax.

Day 8: Ikoma – Masai Mara
This morning we continue our journey northwards and cross the border into Kenya before heading to the Masai Mara National Park. This is the traditional land of the Masai people, nomadic herders, who choose a traditional lifestyle and who are permitted to graze their cattle in this area. The park's habitats include the forests along the banks of the Mara and Talek Rivers, the acacia forests and the open savannah.
(Please note – this is a long driving day and include a border crossing!)

Days 9: Masai Mara
Today we spend the whole day game viewing in the world famous Masai Mara National Park. The various habitats are home to a great variety of game including lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra, wildebeest (gnu), giraffe, buffalo, jackal, topi, gazelles, impala and elephant. Hippopotamuses and crocodiles are plentiful in these rivers and the bird life is also abundant. [BLD]

Day 10: Masai Mara - Nairobi
After breakfast we head off towards Nairobi, the capitol city of Kenya. We have the afternoon at leisure or to explore the city. Nairobi is a cosmopolitan, lively, interesting and a pleasantly landscaped area. Its central business district is handily compact and it is therefore a great place to tune into modern urban African life. [BL]

Day 11: Nairobi – Amboseli
After breakfast we explore Nairobi and stock up on supplies before we make our way to Amboseli. We have lunch en-route and take the afternoon to settle into camp. [BLD]

Day 12: Amboseli National Park
After breakfast we head into the Amboseli National Park for a full day of game driving. Amboseli is famous for its huge elephant bulls that make for the ultimate safari pictures with Kilimanjaro in the background. [BLD]

Day 13: Amboseli - Arusha  
After a lazy breakfast we make our way towards Arusha. Along the way we pass through the town of Moshi on the foothills of Kilimanjaro.

Day 14: Arusha
The tour ends after breakfast.
KIA Lodge is located right next to the Kilimanjaro International Airport for easy connection to your departure flight, alternatively you will be dropped at our offices for onward arrangements.
