Instructor

Location

The PADI Instructor Development Course hones your skills and tests you on theory as well as practical. The course can be completed in 7 days, however it consists of 2 sections, the Assistant Instructor course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor course. It therefore allows you to schedule them in your own time.

The Instructor Development course is spilt into two blocks which allows you to conveniently schedule it in your own time.

In the Assistant Instructor Course will be taught how to present the following:
- The Knowledge development done in your Open Water course.
- Surface Skills in a pool-like environment
- The Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course
- The Project AWARE specialty course
- Emergency First Response course
You will also be taught how to conduct Discover Scuba Experiences.
This will be under the supervision of a PADI Instructor.

To complete the Open Water Scuba Instructor course you will have:
- Completed the Assistant Instructor portion of your course.
- You will have been a certified diver for at least 6 months
- You will complete workshops and presentations on surface skills
- You will complete workshops and presentation on Open Water dives
To qualify you will also have logged at least 100 dives and have experienced night dives, deep water dives and navigation.

Once you have completed your Instructor Development Course you will take an exam with an independent PADI Instructor Examiner.
