Cape Argus/ Pick&Pay Cycle Tour

It is once again time for the two wheelers to take to the Cape Town streets as the Cape Argus/ Pick & Pay Cycle race gets underway. Set for the 14th of March 2010 it will be interesting to see who takes the honours this year.

The Cape Town Argus/ Pick & Pay Cycle tour is one of the events that all cyclist work towards. The events takes place in Cape Town and is the largest timed cycle race in the world.

It attracts in excess of 35000 cyclists from across the world and is fun for participants and spectators. Starting in the City Centre this 109km race takes you toward the Blue route, through Kalkbay toward Simons Town. The scenic route takes you along the Peninsula before reaching the steap climb over Chapmans Peak into Houtbay, over Suikerbossie and downhill tot he finish in Green Point.

The non profit event which supports two chartities, will be held on the 14th of March 2010, it however consists of more than just the actual Cycle Tour. There will be a Lifestyle Expo with many exciting activities.  For more details please see the attached document.
