FIFA kicked off the ticket sales process for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ with the launch of the first sales phase, which will last from 20 February to 31 March 2009. Tickets for the biggest single-sport event in the world can be requested online via FIFA.com.South African residents also have the opportunity to register through ticket application forms available at FNB National Bank branches in South Africa, where they will receive a FNB Visa Official Mascot Prepaid Card in exchange for an amount equal to that of the tickets that they apply for. FIFA today (Friday 20 February) kicked off the ticket sales process for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ with the launch of the first sales phase, which will last from 20 February to 31 March 2009. "The start of the ticket sales kicks off the chance for fans from all over the world to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend a FIFA World Cup match in South Africa. We have strived to give everyone a fair and equal chance to access a ticket, so that that all people around the world have a possibility to enjoy the wonderful celebration that we will have next year," added Danny Jordaan, CEO of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Organising Committee South Africa.

Further information on FIFA World Cup Soccer 2010

While the groups are unknown as yet, dates and stadiums have been chosen. Matches are scheduled for the 11th-25th of June 2010 at various stadiums. The knockout for the final 16 is scheduled for the 26th-29th of June 2010, 8 games at 8 different stadiums - stadiums still to be determined.
The Quarter Finals are scheduled for the 2nd & 3rd of July - stadiums still to be determined.
Semi finals will be held on the 6th & 7th of July in CT's Green Point Stadium and Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium respectively.
The losing semis will play off for 3rd and 4th spot on the 10th of July at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Port Elizabeth (Nelson Mandela Bay).
The finals will be hosted at Soccer City in Johannesburg on the 11th of July 2010.

Groups draw will take place on the 04th of December 2009 in Cape Town.

What I can tell you is that host Bafana Bafana is in Group A and will open the FIFA World Cup Soccer with the first game on the 11th of June in Johannesburg's Soccer City.
