Location
The first ever Pearly's Dial Rock Sailing Race will be hosted by Pearly's Restaurant on the 24th of October 2009 in Langebaan. Prize money to the value of R1000 is up for grabs, so join us for this fun sailing event. There will also be a floating trophy awarded to the winners.
Registration will be in front of Driftwoods Restaurant in Langebaan on the 23rd of October from 18:30 and for those late comers at Pearly's Restaurant on the 24th of October from 10:00 - 12:00.
Skippers briefing will take place at 13:00 on the Main Beach in Langebaan and the race will start at 14:30. It will be a Le Mans start so get your engines reving people. The Tigers will set a course to Dial Rock in Saldanha and back along with the Hobie 16's and bigger vesels. We are encouraging Dragoons to enter as well and there will be a course set half way between Saldanha and back to the Main Beach.
Entries and Registration
You have three options
Pre‐Entry. R100 per person. Completed Entry form to be recieved with proof of payment by no later than noon on Friday 23rd October 2009
Pre‐entries will receive an event shirt ‐a long sleeve moisture management top (guaranteed!) and a voucher for a beer and a burger at Pearly's
If you also register on Friday 23rd betweeen 18h00 and 21h00 we will give you a free beer and a 10% Pearly's discount voucher
Ordinary Entry. R70 per person. Enter and register on Friday 23rd from 18h00 to 21h00.
Ordinary entries will still receive a burger and beer voucher for Pearly's but no shirt is included in the entry fee.
Since you are there early we will still give you a free beer and a 10% Pearly's discount voucher.
Event shirts (limited stock!) will be available on Friday at a 50% discount
Late Entry. R75 per person. Enter and register on Saturday between 09h00 and 12h00 at Pearly's
Late entries will still receive a burger and beer voucher for Pearly's but no shirt is included in the entry fee.
Please take note that because this is a fun race you are not required to have SAS affiliation or be a member of a sailing club, so just come and have some good fun.
A few establishments in Langebaan have also been kinds enough to join in the fun and are offering a discount on accommodation for the sailors of this event.
