Oyster Catcher Lodge

Location

The West Coast is filled with many gems and one of these places is the Oyster Catcher Lodge. Situated right on the waters edge, the lodge and deluxe self catering units offer great views and tranquility.

The Oyster Catcher Lodge is lovingly run by Luc and Sue Christen.  With over 20 years in the hotel industry this lovely couple discovered Shelley Point while working at Sabi Sabi and knew this is where their hearts were.  They bought an existing restaurant which they ran while designing and building the guesthouse.  With great dedication they opened the Oyster Catcher Lodge in 2004.

After 6 years of running their restaurant and with major renovations to it, they converted and opened the self catering apartments in October 2008.  While the lodge and the apartments are in different buildings they are both directly on the beach offer the best views you could imagine.

Both properties have been graded as 4 star by the South African Tourism Grading Council, but the one thing you won't know until you visit them is that this is truly a home away from home.

Shelley Point is a private village with security access and about 8 minutes from St. Helena Bay.  With a 9 hole golf course and a Club house with restaurant and bar what more could you ask from this jewel in the West Coast.
