Groupama 4 and Franck Cammas/FRA, the leading team in leg one of the Volvo Ocean Race, have two choices: move west quickly and take a big loss to do it, or hold their nerve and sail towards the triangle of doom, the no-go windless area that begins south of the Cape Verde Islands 600 nautical miles ahead, and then make the turn west.

1. Do not leave any vehicle on the beach, you may drive onto the beach into an area of 100m wide and 50 long from point of entering the beach, here you have to unload your boat and remove your vehicle from the beach as soon as possible.
2. All vehicles to be parked in the car park.
3. Trailers must be parked neatly next to the sand dunes and may not be left overnight on the beach.

Alfa Romeo, the Australian-built super maxi owned and skippered by Kiwi yachtsman, Neville Crichton, has smashed the race record in the TransPac race by more than a day, arriving in Hawaii in the fastest time in the 103 year history of the event, further confirming Alfa Romeo as the yacht to beat in the 2009 Rolex Sydney Hobart race in December.

Drum Africa is the only Hobie Cat school and charter company in South Africa teaching on a 16ft and 18ft Hobie Cat from the beautiful and picturesque Langebaan lagoon.
