The Garden Route is a popular stretch along the South Coast of South Africa. It starts in the Western Cape at the beautiful Mosselbay along the N2 and stretches all the way to the majestic Storm River in the Eastern Cape.
The Garden Route includes towns such as George, Knysna, Wilderness, Oudtshoorn, Plettenberg Bay and Natures Valley in the Tsitsikama Forest. In fact the route sits between the Tsitsikama and Outenique Mountains and the Indian Ocean.
Day 1 The first day of the Oyster Catcher trail begins at the famous Khoi-San Cave, after an optional visit to the Diaz Museum. Your evening will be spent in the beautiful Mossel Bay in a comfortable lodge situated near the harbour or at a luxury guest house on the beach front.The Old Post Office Tree Manor House is uniquely situated with the majestic Outeniqua mountains as a backdrop. It’s Mediterranean-style out-buildings belie the fact that the main building is one of the oldest in Mossel Bay and forms part of the Bartholomew Dias Museum Complex.
