Your evening will be spent in the beautiful Mossel Bay in a comfortable lodge situated near the harbour or at a luxury guest house on the beach front. The Old Post Office Tree Manor House is uniquely situated with the majestic Outeniqua mountains as a backdrop. It’s Mediterranean-style out-buildings belie the fact that the main building is one of the oldest in Mossel Bay and forms part of the Bartholomew Dias Museum Complex. The luxury guest house is a self catering unit that offers a picturesque Main-en-suite Bedroom, with a balcony where you can view Mossel bay and Hartenbos in all its glory. Thoughtful and homely touches together with attention to detail, ensures an especially Romantic stay.

Day 2 A morning stroll along the magnificent and unspoilt beach is the perfect start to your morning. See how the Black Oystercatcher feeds and where he lays his eggs. Along the way you can swim, watch dolphins and whales (in winter) from the shore. You will see where the ancient beach people, the Khoi-San made their Stone Age weapons and left their shell middens.

Dinner will be enjoyed at the thatched fisherman’s cottage, where you will be treated to a traditional South African braai of ostrich and lamb. The Bokmakierie Guest house in Dana Bay is where you will spend the night. Bokmakierie is the name of a bird found in abundance in the nature conservancy of Dana Bay - Mossel Bay. From Bokmakierie you have a spectacular 180 degree view of the Indian Ocean, kloof and mountains covered with unique coastal fynbos. An abundance of pheasants and numerous birds will wake you in the morning.

Day 3 After a hearty breakfast the hike continues along the beach past the village of Vleesbaai and along the edge of a rocky shore, rich with marine life, to historical Fransmanshoek. One of the South Cape’s most famous fishing spots, you can enjoy safe snorkeling here in a wonderful private little bay.

After a light lunch, we move on to Kanon Beach to Sandpiper Fisherman’s Cottages in Boggomsbaai. This is where we will spend the night but not before enjoying a delicious candle light sea food dinner, relaxing in front of real old Cape fireplace. Every cottage has a large indoor fireplace to braai South African style or just to sit around at night and drink a toast to this paradise of peace.

Day 4 On your final day we will start of slow after breakfast, as we walk along the beach with the waves washing at your feet. Our short walk takes us to the mouth of the Gouritz River. Upon arrival you will be ferried up river by a small boat and receive a send off champagne brunch on the banks of this wise old river.

You are then transported back to the starting point at Mossel Bay where your car has been safely parked.
